Global IT services company Cognizant has taken a significant step by opening its first center in Madhya Pradesh, specifically in the vibrant city of Indore. The sprawling 46,000-square-foot facility was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who underscored the pivotal role of intellectual property and technology in shaping the 21st century.
Yadav eloquently stated, “The 21st century is all about intellectual property, and it will leave its mark on the world through information technology and artificial intelligence (AI).” India’s rich legacy of intellectual prowess received a nod, emphasizing the need to further boost the country’s IT sector.
The new center is poised to create over 1,500 job opportunities initially, with the potential to grow to a staggering 20,000 positions in the future. This expansion reflects Cognizant’s commitment to nurturing local talent and contributing to the economic development of the region.
Surya Gummadi, Executive Vice President and President of Cognizant Americas, shared his vision for the Indore center. He emphasized that Indore would seamlessly integrate into Cognizant’s existing delivery network across India. The focus? Innovative solutions for global clients while providing fresh opportunities for local talent. Plus, the center’s strategic location at Brilliant Titanium in central Indore aligns perfectly with Cognizant’s flexible work environment strategy.
