Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s horror-comedy Stree 2 is proving to be an unstoppable force at the box office. Released on Independence Day, the film faced stiff competition from Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa, yet it has emerged as the clear winner.
According to early estimates, Stree 2 has raked in a staggering ₹135.7 crore by the end of its third day in cinemas. The film saw a significant surge in collections on Saturday, bringing in an estimated ₹44 crore, compared to ₹31.4 crore on Friday. The trend suggests that Stree 2 is poised to perform even better on Sunday, with the Raksha Bandhan holiday on Monday potentially giving it another boost.
Rajkummar Rao, thrilled with the film’s success, took to Instagram to share the news that Stree 2 has entered the ₹100 crore club. He expressed his gratitude, writing, “Blessings to God and to all of you. Heartfelt thanks.”
