Reliance Foundation Launches Scholarship Program for 2024-25: Empowering 5,100 Students with Financial and Mentorship Support

Mumbai, August 14, 2024: Reliance Foundation has announced the launch of applications for its esteemed scholarship program for the academic year 2024-25. The program aims to identify, support, and mentor 5,100 outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students across India, providing them with the tools to lead and contribute to the nation’s growth.

The Reliance Foundation Scholarships are designed to nurture excellence and empower the youth, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic and professional aspirations. First-year undergraduate and postgraduate students pursuing full-time regular degree courses from institutions across India are eligible to apply.

Undergraduate Scholarships: A total of 5,000 merit-cum-means scholarships will be awarded to talented students, each worth up to Rs. 2 lakhs. These scholarships aim to support students in their undergraduate studies, allowing them to focus on becoming successful professionals who can contribute to India’s socio-economic development.

Postgraduate Scholarships: 100 scholarships, each up to Rs. 6 lakhs, will be awarded to exceptional students pursuing future-ready courses in Engineering, Technology, Energy, and Life Sciences. These scholarships are aimed at nurturing top talent who can contribute to shaping a new India.

In addition to financial grants, the Reliance Foundation Scholarships offer a robust capacity-building program. Scholars will have access to mentorship, industry leaders, and experts for career advice, as well as opportunities for professional and leadership development through workshops, seminars, and events. Community engagement and service projects are also integral to the program, fostering a sense of societal responsibility among scholars.

This initiative is part of Reliance Foundation’s 2022 commitment to awarding 50,000 scholarships over the next 10 years, announced by Mrs. Nita Ambani, Founder & Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, on the 90th birth anniversary of Reliance’s Founder-Chairman, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. Since the announcement, 5,100 students have been awarded scholarships each year, making it India’s largest private scholarship initiative.

To date, over 23,000 students have benefited from Reliance Foundation’s higher education scholarships. Many former scholars have embarked on rewarding careers and academic journeys, thanks to the mentoring and exposure provided by the program.

The application portal is now open, and students can apply online at scholarships.reliancefoundation.org.

The selection process for undergraduate scholarships includes an evaluation of academic merit and economic background, while the postgraduate scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievements, personal statements, and interviews.

The deadline for applications is October 6, 2024.
